ScatAbility is a practice application designed for scat singing that promotes learning through listening and imitation, towards achieving musical proficiency efficiently. The essence of the app lies in cultivating singing skills naturally, akin to the immersive process of language acquisition, requiring no prerequisite knowledge of theory, jazz chord types, progressions, or scales.

Featuring renowned jazz vocalists such as Darmon Meader, Rosana Eckert, and Greg Jasperse, among others, ScatAbility offers a seamless user experience with exercises, call & response sessions, and etudes. Users can choose to sing along with professional vocalists or practice independently using the provided backing tracks. The app also allows for recording, self-assessment, and exporting of recordings for versatile use.

Michele Weir, the mind behind ScatAbility and known as MichMusic, is a distinguished educator whose influence in jazz education is globally recognized through her workshops, publications, and contributions to the music world. Having her arrangements performed by prestigious groups like The Manhattan Transfer and New York Voices, Michele currently shares her expertise at the University of Southern California (UCLA).
